South America is the land of rich culture and relaxing lifestyle. This program will visit three capitals and prestigious businesses and political venues that ordinary travelers won’t get to experience. Learn Spanish in Latin America and then put your skills to use in real life social settings. This tour allows you to experience South America like a native and offers once in a lifetime opportunities you won’t find anywhere else..

Signature World Services strives to ensure that you have the most memorable and efficient study abroad experience possible. We will be with you every step of the way to assist you with anything you need. We only require a 10 student minimum for the trip, and can provide all of your logistical needs from classroom facilities and excursions to accommodations. Additionally, we are available to assist with marketing the program to other students at your university and offer the option to open up the program to students throughout the United States.



Program Details

A TOUR OF THE CAPITALS

This 4 week Faculty Led program is very unique. The students will take a tour of the three most influential capitals in South America: Montevideo, Uruguay, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile. The program will give students the opportunity to gain a firsthand perspective of the structure of South American business, politics and society.

• Morning (4hrs Mon-Thurs): Lecture by U.S. faculty and/or Intensive Spanish Courses
• Afternoon (Mon-Thurs): Business, political, and social visits
• Weekend (Fri-Sun): Excursions and sightseeing opportunities

MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY: 2 weeks
Montevideo is not only the capital of Uruguay but also the largest city. It is the only city in the country with a population over one million and provides a very high quality of life. This is the first stop for the tour of South America. Possible visits and excursions include: Parliament Palace, Punta del Este, tour of the Stock Market, Solis Theatre, vineyard visit, a hospice, orphanage, and Free TAX Zone.

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: 1.5 weeks
Buenos Aires, also known as the “Paris of South America,” is very cosmopolitan. It is the financial, industrial, commercial, and cultural center of Argentina. It is the third largest metropolitan area in South America and the birthplace of Tango dancing. Some possible visits and excursions include: Congress, Stock Market, wine tasting, Art Galleries, Iguazu Falls, Teatro de Colon, Plaza del Mayo, Tango classes, a cattle ranch, Jesuit Trail, and various museum visits.

SANTIAGO, CHILE 4 days
Santiago is one of the most modern cities in Latin America. Over the past twenty years there has been significant development resulting in dozens of malls, many beautifully constructed high rise buildings, and a breathtaking skyline. The city sits in the middle of the Santiago Basin, a bowl-shaped valley surrounded by mountains. Possible visits and excursions include: Municipal Theatre of Santiago, Fine Arts Museum, Palacio de La Moneda, and Sculpture Park.
